Email Processing Jobs are being wildly promoted (still)
through several websites which all have very similar stories.
 
They say that you can make $15 - $25 for each email
that you process, they even do the math and breakdown
how much money you'll be making based on how many
emails you process per day.

Right of the bat the offer sounds to good to be true,
what company in their right mind would pay you that
much money just to process one email.  There has to
be some kind of catch to these email processors jobs
offers.  The catch is actually pretty obvious, these email
processors jobs are basically the online version of
the envelope stuffing scams. 

When you buy into one of these programs they will show
you how to send out the same ad that you just fell for!

They will provide you with a list of emails for you
to spam with your ad promoting Email Processors Jobs.

The only way that you get paid is if someone clicks
on your ad and then purchases the same program you
just bought.

There are several major problems with this type of
scheme, the first and most important one is that you
do not know how these email addresses were collected. 
If they were collected in an illegitimate way you may
be in violation of the CAN-Spam Act which can lead
to serious legal trouble.

The other glaring flaw with this method is that the
emails that you get from these email processor job
programs are of poor quality.  Not only will they
rarely get opened but the chances of you making a
sale are very slim.  That's why in their ads they say
that you will get paid for each email processed
(program sold) and not for each email that you send
out.  I know of NO legitimate Email Processors Jobs
that you can do from home.  Unfortunately these
scams remain popular and thousands of people fall for
them daily thinking they are applying for real jobs.

List Building - Problem?

A "Shocker" - - Maybe.......

When you’re starting out in the Internet marketing, an often advice you hear is “build a list” and “money is in the list”. I have too and I’ve followed the advice, I’ve signed up with Aweber and started building lists. I’ve amassed quite a list of subscribers at over 30,000 over the years. And yesterday I’ve deleted them all and canceled my Aweber account.


If you follow the general IM advice you must be thinking I’m insane. I believe in general it’s considered that a single lead is worth at least $1 a year and that’s 30,000 of them. I’ve just thrown $30k/year out the window, what’s wrong with me? Not so fast.

You see, general “truths” like “money is in the list” have a flaw and that is that the devil is in the details. Money is not in just any list, it is in the list of customers. And that’s not just a rule that comes from IM, it’s common business sense – you need customers to sell. And that’s the tricky part.

The general idea of list building in IM is to put up a squeeze page, give away a freebie and collect emails that way. Almost every guru tells you to start doing it as soon as possible because, well, money is in the list! You can then send them promotions and make money even if you don’t have any product to sell – you can send affiliate offers. Oh yes, the affiliate offers.

Now let me ask you a question. Do you like getting all those ridiculous emails from affiliates, all 159 of them every single day? Then why would you want to join their ranks? The matter of fact is, if the subscribers aren’t your customers you’re just spamming them. And everyone hates spammers.

So I’ve amassed a list. I can count on my fingers how many broadcasts I’ve sent to it over the years, and every time I felt terrible. I tried to make them as “soft” as possible, add as much value as I could and never push a sale. Obviously that didn’t convert well and I haven’t made any money at all. And even if I had been pushing hard and spamming like there’s no tomorrow, I’d have made very little but lost a ton of karma points.

So to cut the ever growing bill from Aweber I’ve thrown the supposed $30k worth of leads to the bin and cut the agony.

The matter of fact is that you only need a list of customers when you have customers, i.e. when you have products or services. I don’t have any products or services and I don’t want to have them. My business model is creating websites and earning from affiliate programs and advertising. I’ve chosen it because I’ve tried doing both and nothing beats the passive income that such websites generate without having to deal with support. Hence, I don’t need a list.

And my advice is, don’t build a list just for the sake of building a list. If you don’t have a base of customers to make a list of, don’t make a list. The last thing you want is paying a bill for the storage of a bunch of worthless email addresses and much less spamming them.

Oh and did I say all those pop-ups and forms asking you to opt-in for something are just plain annoying? Glad to finally get rid of those from my sites.

Charlie has spent quite a bit of time on the computer and
is are pretty sure that there are some people who are
making MONEY! He has also heard repeatedly that there
are a lot of scams on the net, so it seems the smart thing
to do is make an outline of what features that he wants an
income producing opportunity to have.

Reviewing Traffic Exchanges ???

Some time ago a colleague was considering starting a serious
campaign using several traffic exchanges to promote a new
internet business in a niche he had researched thoroughly.

After checking several TEs he settled on 5 to test. He predetermined
that he would use all of them for 90 days. He "bribed" his 13 year old daughter to do most of the surfing! He also took advantage of the
offers to purchase packages of credits that were offered when starting
a new account with each of the TEs (sound familiar?).

He started all TEs on the same day........

I was very interested in how this "test" would turn out because both
he and I have been in the IM industry for a few years and had tried
TEs on very limited efforts before. The big difference here was that
after 45 days he UPGRADED in all 5 TEs! Cost: approximately $200.00.

Summary: Not good! First 45 days, - a very weak response. Second
45 days, about 20% better. Dollar wise, he netted approximately
$365.00. Very disappointing! (...for a LOT of surfing)

WHY? Well it could because of several factors. He had adjusted the
text in his adds. He had timed some of the releases as to when the ads would run, - he checked his hit counters regularly, - but the month
was May (summer time was not the best season), - maybe his niche was
not as good as indicated in his research.

So promotion/advertising is still a gamble and usually no where near as
good as "advertised" by those promoting a certain advertising method.

Due Diligence is still "The Order of The Day"!

Big Change In Sales Copy

Have you noticed it?

Sales copy in web sites, emails a nd Utbes are getting much longer.

"They" now say "Long sales copy sells"! I think it does too.  That is OK because that is the goal of writing sales copy - sell more.  Two  or more pages, can get the suspect/prospect thinking "in the right direction" usually.  If the reader will just keep reading it means that he is interested and that interest just might continue to grow enough to lead to a sale. He may sell himself!   Simple really. 

If the sales site is promoting an income program where by the prospect can make a 6 figure income and it will only cost him $49.95 to get the secret, it may take a long sales copy to get him to ignore the "red flag" of the cheap cost for such a huge income claim.  And what will probably happen is that he will glance over to his right and check to see how long or short the scroll bar is and if it is short, he will quickly scroll to the bottom to see how much the price to purchase is (it may be a little hidden).

In other words, with the current trend of longer sales copy and the amount of scams on the net, some promoters are doing the extra effort to get a sale and not always to the advantage of the prospect.  It is becoming harder to make a sale and the trouble going on with payment processors now, is really causing a lot of trouble for the promoter.

The long Utube promotions are getting really wild.  Some are made is what looks like vacant rooms, in cars, pickup trucks and junky looking places.  Would you spend your hard earned money with such a promoter?  Surely not, - starting a new venture may be a bit risky anyway even after doing the best due diligence.

So in summary, - are long sales copy efforts bad.  No not always, but it is just yet another thing to keep in mind when reading one.  Just ask yourself:  exactly what is behind this writing?  You know it is trying to sell something.  Is it a pre-launch, from a source that has "burnt" you before, spammed you, or from someone you trust or maybe checked out OK in the Warrior Forum?   Amen!
